I could say I enjoyed it. But, not that it was a good film.Apocalyptus wrote:Hey shut up! I loved Equilibrium.

How far did you get? If you got to the proper fight scenes then I have no idea why you didn't finish it.LordRetard wrote:Yeah, I did not finish Equilibrium so it's sad to hear that the ending's actually okay.
So did I, but it wasn't until it got into the fighting that that loved bloomed.Apocalyptus wrote:Hey shut up! I loved Equilibrium.

There was something not good about the movie, and yet I quite liked it.
I think it was that everyone was intentionally unemotional for a majority of the movie, and thus it was hard to sit through the dialogue at many points.

Yeah, that was a bit of a problem. There was a lot of the movie that irked me, and yet I still came away with a positive experience. I have actually seen it a few times. I have a copy on my computer and I've used it as something to watch when I'm not really watching.Edminster wrote:And yet, Taye Diggs was constantly smiling.

I still haven't seen Equilibrium, but I'm told I'd like it.Kimra wrote:For example: Equilibrium.Lethal Interjection wrote:I think all movies deserve a fair shot, and I do my best to sit through. I've seen enough crappy movies with good payoffs at the end.

Oh, and I will be seeing the new Karate Kid, if for no other reason than to complain about it later.

I've wanted to post in this topic for a while, but I cannot for the life of me remember one bad movie I enjoyed. I suppose Borat is the closest I can get to that, because while I find his gusto hilarious, I kinda hate anyone who'd be that much of a dick for no real reason.

It's difficult, but not impossible. You need to deconstruct it, find out why and how it works as a piece of comedy, and they, while at the same time emulating the subject and style of humor, also make fun of people for liking it and the creators for making it. It is difficult, and a rare thing to find. It is done though. I think the comic that made fun of Zach's drawing style a while back was a good example of one.

Re: What's the best horrible movie you've ever seen?
Yeah, that's alright.
What I'm saying is you can't really make fun of the funny part. As in, Borat's jokes were about him saying and making other people say funny things. Just saying those funny things is not a parody, nor is it funny.

It's good that we all agree, for only by having the same thoughts can society truly work.
