Thank you, I've worked very hard on this community.

They are hidden under every rock! You look to the left, and they get into the Chile government. You look to the right, and they get into the mining trade unions in South Africa, you look to the North (east) and they are all over Europe, you look to the south... Well, at least south there is none... but even so... Stalinist everywhere!

Hello everyone.

I'm called Xy. It's pronounced "xy". I'm from Britain.

I like science, politics, writing, and travelling. Travelling and visiting cities around the world, especially. I know my way around a few cities, and really like discovering little coffee shops and eating places, about which most people wouldn't necessarily know.

I speak French as well as English, and can understand a few more languages, but I'm definitely not fluent in them. Learning about different languages fascinates me to no end, though.

I listen to a lot of music and play a few video games, and I like to drink, sometimes tea, and sometimes not tea.

I actually discovered SMBC through that other comic and the giraffe hooker. Don't ask me why mention of a giraffe hooker was what brought me here.

I would guess you're an xkcd reader since the giraffe hooker joke originated there. Anyway, welcome!

I got here via the giraffe hooker years ago.

Also I thought "hey, didn't xyweasel already introduce themself 2 days ago"?

I did! I did, I did! Just not here.

Thank you. If there's one thing I've learnt, it's that following giraffe hookers invariably leads to good things.

Hey, I'm a new person.

I actually really don't like introduction posts, I prefer to just make an ass of myself by jumping into existing conversations unbidden and unceremoniously. But apparently it's highly encouraged that I post here, so post here I shall!

Someone who can read and comprehend the rules and is willing to follow the rules even when they don't like said rules? Monstrous!

I'm not sure how I feel about this sort of thing.

No. No I don't care. Welcome new person. May you last longer than most new people do.

Oh, I am in. Possibly late to the party, but hey. Hello. I am Britonian. Thank you for having me. My sense of humour has been described as robust. I promise to get a cooler avatar and a wittier signature soon. I like the cat earrings. I was shocked to learn that Texas is real. You all seem awfully nice people.
The tracks are curved and my train of thought accelerates tangentially. Whooo whooooo.

What is a robust sense of humor and does Britonian mean you're British or something else?

I'm going to need a source for that.

Also welcome! Hope you stick around for a while.

I had a layover in a Texas airport a decade ago. I still wake up screaming. I also knew a bunch of people who moved to Austin. They kept trying to get me to join them extolling all its virtues. It felt like I was being recruited by a cult.
