Husper wrote:Chav stands for 'Council Housed And Violent', they typify the poorest people in Britain, who pride themselves on being illiterate and rude to everyone, hang around on street corners harrassing passer-bys, they wear a mix of sports wear and 'gansta' stuff. They are predominantly white, and have a unique accent which sounds like they speak how people who write with 'u' instead of 'you'. The ones you normally see are ages 10-20, the older ones being in prison or working in some low end job trying to earn money to feed their 17 children which they have had with 3 different women.

Here is an example of a chav, rasist and abuse on the back of a british bus, one of their favoured environments, usually smoking or drinking something:

It's more like a british wigger.

i was thinking the same thing except
1. wiggers aren't racist (well... not against black people anyways)
2. wiggers try to emulate something they aren't. most wiggers are middle to upper class suburbanites. chavs seem to be more about embracing their lack of money and intellectual deficiencies... like rednecks. hooray for semantics!

You're such a wuss. It works really well. It's like a mating dance that only works on easy women*.

'Nother recent addition here, and another one from Australia.
I'm Laneth and a few of you have probably seen me about posting comments
to the comics...I am newb, so throw your crap my way - I know I deserve it :)

Been following SMBC for only around a year, so I don't feel like an expert.
When I was first introduced to it though, I did spend a large number of
hours starting at the first available comic here and moving forward, one-by-one,
till I got to the latest. Now, it's part of my wake-up ritual to load up SMBC and
Cyanide & Happiness (since they're usually updated whilst I sleep).

One thing you'll probably notice about me is the use of the word "ye" instead
of "you" - one person has already berated me in the comments box, but I don't
care - being part welsh and a mad fantasy novel fan, it's something I started
doing quite young and won't stop because some upstart thinks he's got the
right to tell me how to talk and I don't have the right to type how I like.
(He should spend more time grammar-bashing 1337 speekers...)

Anyways, that's me for now - I waffle on too, so ... sorry for that too.
Catch yas.

Yep...to "waffle on"...
Ye'll get a lot of that from me - I get asked all the time from other forums I'm on.

Mountain, have ye read / heard of Caiseal Mór?

'Fraid not. If you sell (in the figurative sense) it to me, I'll look into it next time I'm in Borders (a book store in America, not sure if you have them in Australia).
