So I'm assuming that at some point images were banned in posts. Now I'm going to spend the rest of the day/decade imagining what the image that ultimately triggered the ban looked like...

You are incorrect.

Pictures work fine. If the picture you post belongs to someone else and you are stealing bandwidth, ultimately, Ed will probably give you a short ban. But if it is from an image hosting site, you are probably in the clear.

If you are simply referencing the fact that many of the pictures linked to the forum (headers and smilies) are not working, that is because Zach doesn't care about us.
