Well, a lot of people have winter break/vacations and whatnot, and I think everyone would have more spare time to write a novel then. I mean it's the tail-end of the semester here and we've got finals coming up soon.

Exactly, I mean, do you want to do an alternate NaNoWriMo?

What's the point though? The only reason I wanted to do it in the first place was that I might have a chance of it getting printed.

Ya I know, I wanted that too. Oh well. Better luck next year I guess? For me it was more about forcing myself to be a writer but I really just don't have that kind of discipline. Writing when you don't want to is so stupid.

Considering it is my overall aspiration to be a writer I'm using this opportunity to force words out onto the page. What's best is that I finally overcame the hurdle that was blocking me from actually getting a word count going. Now every time I sit down I'm getting 500-1000 words, which means I should catch up to the 25,000 count in the next few days. Which will be nice.

If anyone does do the 50,000 thing in December, I might be up for that as well, any times a good time. Writing challenges are fun. :)

21,355 eerr... wow dislexia had me excited for a second there. 12,355 words down. I am still way behind. Someone pump me full of speed and effopsudorine pseudoephedrine* that will set me up to my word count in no time.

*have a strange feeling that maybe speed has pseudoephedrine in it now that I'm thinking about it.

No, speed is made with pseudoephedrine. It's not important why I know this.

Hmm so basically I was asking for speed and speed. Excellent.

I don't take this pseudo nonsense if I want to get high. When I want to get stoned, I use the real McCoy.

Not exactly, their actions are similar because they're related but there are differences. For one, nobody likes pseudoephedrine.

You don't know a lot about drugs do you.

Yeah it's a catchy group, but don't you think there are better ways?

Remaining words to write: 38,000
Remaining days in which to write them: 8
Words per day required from here on out: 4,750
Chance of success: 2.5%
Am I gonna keep going? Yes
Will everything else in my life suffer? Yes
Will I be back online before the end of November? Only if I'm bloody lucky.
Does anyone care? Chance: 0.9%

p.s. Abandon all hope all yee who enter here. I'm skipping out on the forum for the rest of the month, and any other social activities.* I may pop in for a few seconds here and there, but I make no guarantees about anything. Just FYI.

*oh god I class this as social

Lol I could write that many words in a day if I wanted. 50,000 you say? If I can type 45 words per minute, then that would be 2700 each hour, so that within 19 hours I could complete it. And dear god am I tempted. I have essays to write, then maybe I'll tackle it. Or maybe not make 50,000 but get a fucking high number.

But will the words make sense? Probably, I would even be tempted to read whatever it is you would write.

Plus my typing speed is about 75wpm so I should be finished much faster... but I wont be. So sad.

I have fortified with vodka, and now I am onto the writing. Huzzah.
