My webcomic!

Post by davoid »

Hello all.

I recently started a webcomic at http://www.shenanigansquares.com

It's still a little-baby-fledgling of a site, so I hope you'll forgive the sometimes blatant amateurishness of it all.

My time lurking this forum gives me the impression that this is a pretty well-mannered group, so I'm willing to trust you all with my tender ego. I'd love to hear your opinions/criticisms!

Does anyone else think he is confusing this forum with another one?

I'm pretty sure he has the wrong forum, wolf. We've never been wall-mannered before, and it'll be a cold day in hell (32°F) before we are! Jerks.

Double post madness: the comic is alright, but I don't think it's my cup of tea.

Some of it I actually liked. Particularly the Kafka one.

I took a quick run through of the comic. I loved number 2 "Back in the good old days" because well there was this one time my buddy was inebriated and random yelled out "If you just let me eat your fingernails every thing will be fine." However, some of the jokes I had a feeling I'd read before on another comic.

Thanks everyone for checking it out!

I'm updating tonight around midnight (EST) so tell me what you think!

I sincerely hope not. My comic's artwork is bad and the joke-delivery is unpolished, so the only thing I have is my originality. Are there any in particular that you feel have been done already?

Of course now they all seem familiar since I read them on your site. But the one that I remember had a pang of familiarity was the very first one about Occam's razor. Who did it? I dunno. Did someone do it before? I dunno.

You don't by any chance read http://www.geist-panik.com do you?

They actually did a very similar "Occam's razor" joke recently, about a month after I put mine up.

I'm thinking of suing

Of course I jest, because no one reads my comic anyway, so there's no chance he got it from me.

Is this what you were thinking of, Wolf? It better be, since I spent the better part of an hour trawling through those archives.

From what I can tell, it was just me doing some thread necromancy to ask a question of another member, nothing close to talking to you. If it's any consolation, this post is aimed at you, and I think your comic shows promise. Of course, I tend to think that of everything. Like that young german chap back in the 1930's. Or that Manson fellow back in the 1960's. Or AHMETxRock, on this very forum!
