It's not just an LJ thing. Although Doctorow does not quite get the point, I have to give him points for trying. Really it's for anyone who writes online, in an attempt to break them out of a blogging rut.

I managed to get a couple interesting ideas out, and was able to flesh them out a little more when someone else commented on them. There's still time for you to write, you know.

Blah, I don't like blogging. I spent two hours writing an opinion piece on politics, and the thing was erased due to a posting error.

This is why I draft all of my posts beforehand in Notepad. That way I not only have a copy on the computer, but I don't have to worry about losing anything through the vagaries of the Internet.

A purposeful use of the plural when refering to a singular me. It's fun to throw around grammar rules sometimes.

I really think this is an example of the "Is ahmet an idiot" question. Now that I think back, it took two years for everyone at my school to realize how awesome I am. I became really popular doing virtually nothing differently. Not to say popularity is all that great, or that I could duplicate the results elsewhere. I'll have to defend myself with a "trust me, I'm not stupid".

Ye'd be surprised - I was looking for a decent open source chiro / physio diagnostic & billing software and there really isn't any out there that serves the purpose. Perhaps the bot is onto something, but maybe just on the wrong forum?
