As I understand it to build "show" muscle like that you basically have to not do any stamina type exercises or you won't be able to build it up like that.

At least that's what my dad always told me and he's all about "teh muscling up".

No, to build show muscle, you need to do steroids. Almost no one can "naturally" get that big; far fewer than there are. Admittedly I don't know nearly as much about body-building as I do about weight-training, but a quick search shows:
Wiki wrote:High-repetition exercises indeed do cause hypertrophy of both slow-twitch and high-twitch muscle fibers, contributing to overall increased muscle bulk.
So you'd need to do quite a few reps and build endurance, actually, and if you're like me, you'd have to fix your diet and get rid of some fat.

I used to weight train (actually it degraded pretty quickly to just doing a lot of push-ups, because I am lazy), and now none of my old shirts fit. So it really wasn't worth it, anyway. It's really much more fun just to eat whatever you want.

I still don't think he'd do very well in a fight. Everything I've seen shows Big(Whether it be muscle or fat)=Winded in no time flat. And any medium-sized person who can at least throw a somewhat decent hook and knows how to wrestle(Ground pound is probably the better term) would knock his pretty boy smirk.

And what I meant more about stamina was like, running and stuff. I'm sure he'd be able to lug around a bit but I don't think he's gonna have the cardio ability to do it and running burns too many calories for the wrong things to get big.

As a larger fellow I know very well that we don't have the stamina to run for very long, but we can move very fast, sometimes faster than smaller folks; and that's only if we're out of shape, like me. Not that I actually know how to fight at all. If he's been exercising his legs properly then he'd be able to do it, but then again body-builders have a habit of doing everything ass-backwards.

I can't fight at all but I think size is still an advantage; I know from people trying to push me around or grab me, that you just can't do it. You don't mess around with someone my size; you kick out the legs, and then kick them in the head or something. Or just run, it's what I'd do if someone bigger than me wanted to fight (particularly if they're as drug-addled as our disturbingly large friend over there). I know that I can't fight but it's not that hard to put your weight into it.

fighters (MMA, boxing, or whatever) are broken up into weight classes for a reason. being heavier and taller is almost always an advantage in a fight (unless you are so tall/big you can't move effectively). the one drawback that guy has (on top of possibly endurance) is that he can't possibly have a good range of motion with those things. effective hooks, crosses, and any kind of ground game are basically out with that kind of bulk.

That's true, I'm so inflexible I can hardly move my neck now.

I saw this fight against two people at the opposite ends of the weight range for their class. One was really big, the other was scrawny and jumping around before the fight even started. When it began, the jumpy guy jumped in there and knocked the other dude out in four seconds with nothing but quick blows to the head and chest. UFC.
Literally 4 seconds.

It's not the size, it's the skill at fighting. If you don't have the skill, you're going to make up other reasons you think you're hot shit.
Either you are, or you aren't.

I fight like a dolphin has sex. One ejaculation and you've got a broken neck.

Obviously someone who is a much better fighter is going to win in a fight. I'd never go against someone who's a UFC fighter or super-fit or martial artist... For that matter I don't want to get into a fight. All that's being said is that size is an advantage, unless there's a wide gap.

I forget where I read this but it was pretty funny and insightful; in any sort of fight, the little guy is always the one to worry about. Because when two huge guys fight each other, they can beat the shit out of each other and stand up and be fine afterwards. Little guys fight to stay alive, and they're very desperate about it.

Sig-worthy quote right here.

If it's so sig-worthy, why don't you stick it in yours?

Because I don't like putting quotes in my sig.

I don't understand this stamina crap. I have none, but when I did gymnastics eleven hours a week and stuff I also had none. I do have an almost six pack, though. I guess stamina only comes from running and constant cardio? That doesn't seem right. I can do back flips and not run for fourty-five minutes? People tell me I can punch pretty well, though, so I'm safe from Cirtur for a little while. He can't take advantage of my gymnastics flexibility.
