Louis Riel thought he was a profit of God and would call himself David.

He thought it was his mission to create a new Catholic church with the Montreal Bishop at the head of it, he had crazy theories ranging from womens rights to actually predicting what year the rapture is. Fun fact: Actually some historians argue that he should be seen as a real profit, and I've heard rumours he's on the track to being canonized, though I've yet to confirm this.

Franklin was just a run of the mill deist.

Hey Joseph Smith, can we see the tablets?

I loved south park's take on it.

From the pictures and that wikipedia overview, he sounds awesome. I wish we learned about him in school. Sadly, Canadia is hardly even mentioned- even in AP World History.

Your skill with Paint is truly terrifying. But the companion cube still loves you.

Count yourself lucky for not learning about Canadia, because for every minute we spent on cool people like Riel or Dumont, we spent an hour on the Fur Trade and First Nations.

@LR Hahahah, that sounds ewwy. But I figure it's at least somewhat worth it to hear about those historical gems.

@Phoenix Also, the companion cube doesn't love me because I euthanized it.

Fur Trade is soooo boring. Pre contact first nations is really really interesting.

Half my minor was Canadian History, once you get to the university level stuff, it becomes a lot less boring.

Supposedly I was the quickest test subject to euthanize my weighted companion cube.

Did that used to link to the Kate Beaton shirts? Because I totally have one of those shirts.

Fenghar, I liked the Rorschach one and the whale one. The others are just too weird/surreal for me. Not to say they're not good, just that they're not my bag, baby.
