I would say wit was making a funny joke, while funny can come from that but also be inadvertent.

If you're going to use words like wit, you shouldn't use funny. Say something like amusing or hilarious.

If it makes you feel better, yes I'd find it hilarious.

I also fell out of my chair I was laughing so hard at the flowers and babies scene in Brave New World when a sociology teacher read it out loud to the class. I'll give the guy props, he kept reading without missing a beat while I was having my fit, only even glared at me a little. (Great teacher, I almost wish I'd finished that class instead of being hospitalized.)

I remember watching V for Vendetta and altogether I found it really terrible. But I was with some people who were into it, and there's one scene where some guy shoots a kid to death and I burst out laughing, and it was probably at least 10 seconds or so before I realised that no one else was laughing.

I found out that other people find it funny, eventually, but it was a little unnerving and a little uncomfortable at first.

Oh man, I loved V for Vendetta. Sure it's different from the Graphic Novel, but it was still an amazing movie. One of my favorites.

Damn, I would've gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for your previously mentioned keen observation skills!

I like the movie and the comic. Unlike Watchmen where I only like the comic, because the movie is crap.

I usually dry it off with my t-shirt when I pull it out*, but that's probably not the best thing for the lens.
