Fighting Choreography script!

Post by AHMETxRock »

First of all, let me say I wrote this last year. I see people sharing some stuff, and I had this lying around, so there we go.
I have made alterations in my mind, but I'm not going to change this just so that it stands as a testament to the progress I may or may not be making.
This skips a ton of dialogue, skims the basic premise, etc. It depends heavily on my ability as an artist to actually draw this out.
It is meant to be merely the introduction, and could possibly take months to complete once I get to a level where I can actually attempt something resembling it visually. I tried to be as specific as possible about the movements, so while it seems redundant to read, I think once I can draw this it'll really be good.

"Let's see if I can type this without being interupted. We start off with Royal escorting an old lady in a wagon to the next town over. The reason is that in the story, the former town is becoming a military defense post. On the road, near the border, four bandits attack the wagon, knowing that many people have been packing up all their possessions in one place. The bandits were members of a once infamous band of theifs that had recently disbanded. (the word band was used alot, huh?) The bandits threaten to attack, and royal states that he won't let them get away with a single one of her possessions, or hurt her.

The leader of the bandits, who I think I should name SNARL, commands his three underlings to take out the pest, royal, who isn't even armed. The women mentions that there is a valuable heirloom sword in her wagon that royal can use to defend himself. Royal accepts using the sword, but declares that he refuses to cut them with it. Laughing, the three bandits rush toward him.

Royal uses the blade to defend himself against their knives, and is able to knock them unconscious. The first one, he kneels low to the ground and kicks under his feet, knocking him to the floor. The then plants the sword in the ground and pushes himself into the air with his arms, kicking the man downward into the ground pretty hard. The second bandit uses two daggers, which royal can only block one at a time. The man attemps to stab royal, which Royal responds to be grabbing him by the forearm, so that the blade pierces the cloth, and not his skin. The third bandit tries to approach royal from behind, so royal releases his hold and steps back, knocking the weapon out of the third bandit's hand.
The second bandit turns to yell something at the third bandit, but Royal runs toward him and jumpkicks him in the gut. Royal falls onto his hands (like a handstand position), and while the bandit is off balance, Royal hooks his feet around the bandit's neck and pulls him downward. The second bandit is also knocked out.
Meanwhile, the third bandit had backed away from Royal, and grabbed his sword. He picked his blade up at the same moment the second bandit was beaten, and rushed toward the old woman instead of Royal in an attempt to get her hostage. Royal manages to run faster then him, and is able to block the third bandit's swipe at the old woman with the blade. Royal pushes the blade back and the bandit takes a step back. Royal swings his blade at the bandit, hitting him on the left side of his head with the flat of the blade. The man falls to the ground, beaten as well.
Royal looks around for the fourth man, just to see that he has snuck into the wagon and drawn his pistol. Snarl says he sees nothing of value in the cart, and will gladly let the woman go. He commends Royal's abilities, and asks him to join them. Royal refuses, and Snarl points his gun at the woman and fires.
Blood falls on the ground. Royal had stepped in the way, and blocking the bullet with the sword. The way he held it, however, caused it to swing back at him in recoil, and left a small cut on his shoulder. Royal checks the blade to make sure there is no blood on it, then throws the sword at the gun. The sword hits the barrel and catches, making the fun useless. Royal charges at the Snarl. Snarl hops off the wagon and runs the opposite direction. Royal hops on the wagon, the jumps from it and lands a blow to Snarl's head by ramming him with his elbow.

Royal gets some rope (obviously from the wagon) and ties the four men up, then together, confiscating their weapons. Snarl regains consciousness, and rants how he was a former commander of a hundred bandits in the region just 4 years ago, and how no one should ever cross him. Royal tells them that they'll alert the guards that there are defeated theives once the woman reaches the city gates. Snarl yells how Royal was only lucky in winning this time. Royal says it must be true, as how that was the first time he has ever wielded a sword.

Snarl asks Royal what his name is, and he tells them that it is Royal. Even though I've been saying Royal over and over, this is the first time Royal's name has been mentioned. The two leave, and soon reach the town. The woman thanks Royal, and Royal walks to tell the guards about the bandits. The woman tells Royal as he is walking away that the town still welcomes him, but he interrupts her by putting his hand up and saying that he can't just turn his back on where he grew up. The old woman repeats that he is still welcome, regardless, and travels into the city by herself.

Royal appears back to where the bandits were, although it appeared as though Snarl had escaped. The guards grab the bandits and begin to bring them to the town, but one guard notices that Royal is not following, and questions him about where he is headed. Royal responds that he still have business to attend to in his villiage before it is shut down. Royal walks in the opposite direction from the town he just brought the woman to, alone."

This is my favourite line.

The way it's written reminds me of a live-action Batman show or maybe Jackie Chan, but honestly I'm not very good at visualising these things. More to the point I'd actually like to see what you can do with this, if only a rough draft of this intro. It'd definitely be worth the practice, which is the most important thing in my mind.

I'd be interested to see where it goes. Some of it seems a bit WWF smackdown style, but drawn properly would avoid that feeling I'm sure. :D Get to the drawing so we can see what you've done with it. :D

Don't google search frosted blacks. For the love of all that is pure in this world, do not google search it.
And stay away from the image search as well. It's just too horrifying.
