Oh Also, I'm doing NanoWriMo. My user name is highly uncreative, almost as much so as Ed's.

I'm planning on doing a piece of pseudo existentialist work involving vampires, doppelgangers and such. I say existentialist because thats about the level of sense I'm sure in the end it'll make.

I'm thinking my story will be the dream of a drowning man, since it'll be easy to do since it doesn't have to make sense. I'm starting small, my goal this year will be to win, even if my work will be so shit that I can't use it ever again.

Yeah thats my real goal to, though I hope for it to be such nonsense that I'll be able to embrace it and pretend I meant to do that.

I'm also pondering ripping a plot straight out of shakespear to mutilate, after all Alll the cool kids Authors are doing it.

I haven't had a chance to read up on it properly yet, but I've signed up for it as well. My user name is highly imaginative, no-one will ever find me.

I'm student teaching for the first half of the month, and I'm back in classes preparing for exams for the second half. Maybe when I'm finally done school, I'll do it. I wish they had chosen a different month, though.
I'm student teaching too!

I'm off to start my writing for the day. I am for at least 2000 words, possibly more so I've got a buffer going. Still don't know what I'm going to write about, but I suppose I'll figure that out as I go (as with any of my stories). Luck to anyone participating!

This usually makes the writing easier. :P

Erg over 500 words of character analysis, and about 250 of actual writing. Will have to work harder. :(

Hows it going others?

Part of mine is posted in the Cirtur and Edminster marriage counseling thread, and I've still got ~1100 to go for the day. I just have nothing to rail on right now.

Among other things, yeah. I'm being lazy this year and just doing a large amount of marginally connected stories.

Here's the beginning of mine, after which I realised the character was too perfect and had no faults, so she was boring as all hell. So I went and made her flawed, but I haven't gotten to writing that (very much) yet.

p.s. nobody need read this, I just want to put it somewhere because I'm kind of proud of it as a beginning. And I probably wont be posting any more than this of the story, because 50,000 is a lot and I'll just get tldr's :P

---------------------

The world ended, like many had predicted, with an explosion. Fire and wind and heat thrown across the land to wrought distruction on all in its path. Aiyana had witnessed it and Aiyana had died in it.

Death didn’t have the same lingering effects it had once had after that day. And Aiyana had been one of the first to experience the soul phase. It was not a phase everyone was privy too, so on that first day, when over five billion people had been seered from the surface of the world in a purge of fire there would have been less than ten million who’s souls resisted their exit.

Aiyana did not know why this was, nor did she know how it came about, all she knew was that she continued to exist in a transiant, hollow kind of way, and that she was no more safe like that then she would have been if alive.
