My first attempt at a digital painting. Though mostly I just wanted to play around with the blending tool.

Sorry there's no background, I ran out of time. I may put something there tomorrow, but only if I have extra time between working on other things.

I think it looks great! I love the colors on the wing especially.

Is that Zapdos or Moltres?

I thought it was some sort of Phoenix, but then it seems to have the head a duck so maybe not.

Yeah, it's a Phoenix, sorry. I know they tend to look more like hawks, but I never liked bird of prey mythical birds as much. I like waterfowl based ones a lot better. I think they look more majestic. Though it wasn't my intention to make it look that much like a duck now that I'm looking at it more closely. O_o

Honestly I didn't really put a lot of work/thought into that part, I just wanted something I could draw pretty colours around. >_>

I still think it's pretty.

That's really good to hear. Trying to make an image come alive is probably my biggest goal with my art,* and probably one of the trickiest things to do (for me at least), so seeing feedback like this is really heartening. Thanks.

*Or making things emote, or at least not come off as stiff

I'm so behind on all things forum... But, belatedly, that is one pretty blob of blended colours. I wish I could create pretty things

Because Halloween is coming, I digital painted a bride ghost. I really need to paint more often.
