My foray into the digital medium

Since I enjoy spamming my "art" everywhere, I thought that this would be an excellent opportunity since this is a forum where people seem to post art and actually get some sort of feedback too!

Anyway, after realizing that keeping 200 pencils around, 10 different half finished sketch books, and a generally shady process of drawing, I started to see the temptation of the digital way (even though it still feels like cheating.) So I went ahead and bought this delicious hardware. Unfortunatly, just after I bought it, my laboratory course at uni (My supervisor really hates that we refer to it as "school") really kicked in, so hooray for trying to make sense of LabVIEW instead of doing something that doesn't make me want to rip my brain out through my nose. Anyway, I digress. I've made an amazing amount of two sketches in about a week or so, so I thought I'd showcase them here (and maybe even add a few more as the years go by.) And if you think those look like crap, just wait till you start browsing my Deviantart account using old fashioned pen, paper and (a lot of) eraser. Oh, and I should probably add some controversy to get more views here: <3 XKCD!

Hmm, seems I can't upload images... Oh well, hotlinking it is then... pics:

I suck at coloring:

Quick, pimp yourself out in your first post!

Well done.
p.s. you have to a least pretend you're not just here for attention. If you want art criticism might I suggest finding a forum for art critics? Shocking, I know.

I don't understand why you were so mean to him.

Edminster takes hotlinking very seriously.

He was also arguably violating the spirit of Rule 30.

Yowzers, I can't wait for the third newb of the day to post, just so I can watch Ed tear 'em a new post hole.

I once got a rep for being hard on the newbs. I didn't even realise I was doing it; I doubt it was coming from a good place.

I'm thinking, though, that it might -- no matter how inadvertently -- be a good thing. It might mean that what we're left with is a purer, more distilled selection of posters, full of tenacity and less likely to be bored or distracted.

Or it might mean nothing.

Maybe you guys should make a set of rules that people will read instead of going oh haha it's just a joke then?

Common etiquette should not have to be spelt out. And who wouldn't read the rules? They the easiest read I've ever encountered when it comes to forum rules.

Well done whoever wrote them. They continue to amuse me.

I'd be entirely in favor of wiping the rules clean and starting over. There's not a whole lot of point to in-jokes if all (okay, most) of the people who were in are gone.

This is what I was arguing way back when with the rules edit war, but we just ended up bolding the keeper rules so as not to upset Mage with change and hope.
