Orthodoxxing is a real thing (though sadly not called that). There are organizations like Aish HaTorah that try to convince secular Jews like me to become Orthodox. Their methods include community spirit...but sometimes also guilt tactics like "your relatives didn't die in the Holocaust for you to eat pork!"
