Have read all of Stephen King's work, here.

With the Dark Tower series, I'd have to say I enjoyed The Gunslinger most. The first, and the best.

All things hail the Beam.

hmmm. I just finished wastelands, but I go months between reading books most the time so who knows when I'll actually finish the series. I've liked it so far...

It's a mix of brilliance, ridiculously poor writing and the odd painful clich?. I am conflicted.

I really enjoyed the first four or five. The last good one was the ummm Wolves one (I downloaded it. Wolves of Calla? soething like that) The last two? Was like pulling teeth. So dull. I couldn't even finish book 7.

I'd prefer to read more stories of roland's childhood than read the last two books. Favourite character is Oy

Watch out for the ending.

You'd think something that's been built up to for 7 books would be more.. ummm.. yeah, just watch out and set your expectations a little lower, and you might actually appreciate it. A bit.

I've read most of Stephen King's books and I find Black House (the one he wrote with Peter Straub) to be his best work.
I started reading the Dark Tower series bu I had to stop because no book shop I went to had number's 3, 4, 5, 6 and instead only had 7.

I finished this series a couple years ago, and I agree the ending was rather lackluster but the series as a whole was quite enjoyable. I liked how it tied a lot of other books into it as well like IT and The Stand (my favorite SK novels) As for my favorite book in the series it's a toss up between The Drawing of the Three and The Wastelands.

I really liked this series, SK is my overall favorite author. My favorite book in the series was Wastelands. I did not mind the end as much as most people I know who did read it, I thought it was an interesting and original twist. I would highly recommend this series to anyone who really wants to get lost in a long, involved story that really pulls you in.

I loved all of the books, Wolves of Calla was one of the best for action (second to the wastelands) And The Dark Tower / Song of Susanah were the best for storyline. You have to keep in mind that these books aren't centered around action, it is present - but you need to focus on the storyline to get the full brunt of how good the books are
