I have, good sir. A compass is circular.
Also, even if you can draw a cute little square between NWSE, it doesn't mean you can actually find those corners IRL. North and South, maybe. But good luck finding East and West Corners. Even Randall Monroe is confused:

Clearly guilty.

The four corners of the world are the four cardinal directions on the compass rose. It doesn't matter if they're not actual locations!

So you just threw the ashes in 4 different directions? That's gonna be a killer to find.

Hm... I suppose, dear mage, you simply threw a quarter of the ashes in the direction you were facing, a quarter behind you, and a quarter to each side? I hope there was no wind to blow it back in your face. Or maybe I do hope that. Hm. I'm conflicted. ^_~

Also, I still qualify. =p This probably shouldn't surprise you.

wikipedia wrote:The four corners of the world refers to the Americas (the "west"), Europe (the "north"), Asia/Oceania (the "east"), and Africa (the "south").
Edit: being a smartass is easier when links are working...

I think Australasia deserves it's own corner, it's far enough away from all the other continents. Something like, "The-super-awesome-way-more-South-than-much-of-Africa-and-definitely-East-of-Asia-corner" would do nicely.

The Five Corners of the World? Has a nice ring to it. Then we can say "the Four Corners of the Ancient World".

Fifty Terabytes For You
You make no sense, Natinia.

Unless you were attempting to communicate "Fix'd"?

I'm guessing it's "Fixed that for you" but that internet anagram nonsense has no place here. We spell things out around here!

Fix'd is not spelled out. At least FTFY is not HORRIBLY WRONG.
While we're on the subject of annoying internet acronyms, I'll share a little story.
Some point this year, my high school gave us a brochure to give our parents that allegedly outlined all internet acronyms (or claimed to).
My favorites include:
BBB4TL - Be back before too long
PAITR - Parents are in the room
and many many more never used acronyms. Plus,
WTF - What the heck?
Even simple things like lmao, rofl, ttyl, ftw were missing. It was a wonderful personification of the clueless members of the older generations... like my dad, who doesn't know the difference between Internet Explorer and the internet.

P.S. Just to be a douche, an anagram is when you rearrange the letters in a word to make a new word. Xifd!

Yeah, yeah, we all make mistakes. I know full-well what an anagram is. I meant acronym.

Actually, what you meant was an Initialism, since you don't pronounce 'FTFY' as a word. Unless you do, in which case you're weird.
