Cirtur wrote:Damn it Astasia! Why do you hate this forum? We try our best to be accommodating and you spit and throw it back in our collective faces. You come here, trolling us with your opinions and hateful comments and how are we supposed to respond? With warm arms? I think not.

Also, making a thread called "This Forum is the worst Forum ever" isn't a good way to make friends.

:][>:=~+:
Obviously, I'm just the most hateful and spiteful person alive, and I need to stop making twenty thousand threads about how much this forum sucks. Thank you for showing me the error of my ways.

Plus, of course I don't want any of you as friends. I'm just an e-whore troll. We don't do friends. We spend our time kicking puppies into babies (which is harder than you would imagine - neither of them stay as still as you would like. We're currently petitioning to have it included in the Olympics.).
If we weren't such good friends, I'd wish you were dead.

If I thought the whole forum was lame, I wouldn't post here. So, once again, putting that that's what I said, is not accurately representing my feelings, nor is it fair.

Obviously, it's just that one part that I don't like. And, I think it's being awfully touchy and sensitive for people to be upset because I do not like the title system.
I recognize that. The title of the thread did (originally) say "this forum is lame" so I might understand why Ed was a little defensive, hence the trollish comment.

No.

Ed or someone other mod made this into a thread and gave it that title.

This was originally a post in someone else's thread.

Aw, Astasia I like you. I think you're topics in the philosophy subforum are interesting and I enjoyed posting in them.

Yeah, I set up that wordfilter weeks ago, to see if anyone would notice. You're the first one to say anything.
I seldom re-read my posts after submitting, but rather do it before. And quick reading would seldom pick up on that 'i' in other posts. Really I just thought it was becoming a bit of a board norm to spell it as such.

Also, in regard to this thread (the first post, really), I think you can understand that we might get a bit uppity with you calling our community lame. Even if you were really referencing one small part of it.
I noticed, but I was also looking through old posts and noticed people always said Canadia there too, so I just figured it was an old thing. I kinda like Canadia, but it reminds me of a sci-fi (I should be typing syfy :P) radio show of the same name that used to be on CBC.

Another word I here sometimes which I think is cute is Canuckastan. That's where my older brother always says he's from when he's online anyways.

Same here. Perhaps we can strike up a friendship based on the abuse of infants and small mammals, rather than foster enmity through petty modding/editing/tripleposting? Welcome to the Forum, Astasia. You okay with mutual forgiveness for past transgressions?
Cirtur wrote:I really like this forum, even though I don't post as much as everyone else, so saying that it's lame is a little bit hurtful. Speaking of titles, do I have to PM a mod to get one or can I just come right out and say it in a thread?
When you hit 100 meaningful or 200 regular posts, go ahead and tell us what you want your title to be over in this thread.

What's the difference between a meaningful post and a regular post?

I'm afraid that I hold internet grudges for a minimum of 14 months.

Let's speak again in May of 2010.

Posts made by me = meaningful.

Posts made by people less interesting = regular.

Can everyone please stop being so serious?

Honestly, this forum is from a webcomic. Do you really think I intended that as an accurate representation of my feelings?

Calm down, this is just the interwebs.

I personally see posts that add to the overall levity of this forum as meaningful (as measured in GPP), but I know that Mage measures in terms of FIGs. So, it's all up to the Mods and our capricious whims.

You're just feeding the Sanctioned Troll. Remember, this is the guy who successfully Goatse'd at least three people on this forum within the last twenty-four hours, and started a thread that readily admits he is one.

I think when I get to 200 posts Sanctioned Troll will be my title. Also calling it Goatse'd would probably be an understatement; it's a little bit more powerful than that.
