I'm Out

Post by Cirtur »

Actually, I've reached a decision. I'm done with this place for good*. Call it a tantrum if you want. I like a lot about this forum, especially the size and most of you people, however this forum is just too poorly modded. There are more forums than there are posts. Mods edit peoples' posts without hesitation, for stupid things like grammar or, even worse, to change the content. Certain topics (religion) are off limits. I say I don't like my title, and instead of a change, I'm argued with. Having to deal with this shit is just too much. Moderators should let a forum go naturally, only wielding their authority to prevent trolling and to keep things running smoothly. Instead, Mage and Ed take every opportunity they get to brandish their mod sticks. Well done, you ruined a good thing.

Dear Christ, that scared the crap out of me, right up until I read the footnote.

Side Note: Google Chrome does not believe that 'christ' is a word, but Christ is a-okay. Yay for proper nouns!

If you dare try to convince my Welsh cousins to participate in child pornography, I will hurt you in ways you couldn't have thought imaginable. You have been warned.

I've have been in Wales for a grand total of one day, I was feeling physically and mentally tired, my mind was somewhere else at the time, and after a very long car-trip*, it was rainy and gloomy and not much to see or do. Needless to say I didn't enjoy the experience at all, but I guess it's probably better when you are experience better circumstances. Prove me right, or I will feel very bad for my poor cousins.
*No, not from Australia, I was in England at the time on tour with a youth performing group.

Since when is chemistry not a science?

I'm not sure if I can allow this. Do you have committee approval?
Police said they spent some time working out if they could charge the man with being armed with a weapon, as technically he was armed with part of a fish.

It's a proper noun. Because THAT'S HIS NAME. Get it, you crazy non-Christians*!

Anyone taking bets on how long before Cirtur comes back and pretends nothing happened?

Wait... Never mind.

*I don't actually know if you follow a religion or not, so, whatever.

It's not his name, it's his title.
That's why people call him "the Christ."

I think his actual name was Joshua Benjoseph. Jesus is the Greek translation of Joshua. Though we may be splitting hairs at this point.

I love how appropriate this conversation is for Easter weekend :)

See, we can talk about religion on this board! You don't have to leave*, Cirtur!

Hmm.
Neglected Shoe returns just as Cirtur leaves. Does anybody else find this highly suspect?

I'm onto you, Shoe.

I think it is appropriate that Cirtur leaves on the day where Christ's death is remembered, and returns shortly after the day he is believed to have rose again.
And Jesus went to Hell, and Cirtur went to Wales.
Strange parallels there. In fact there are probably more, if you stretch, but I have to go to work.

I'm back, but in a somewhat reduced capacity. After spring break, things got a little crazy in my life. In fact, things are still pretty crazy. I don't expect things to die down until I'm settled in Seattle for my summer internship.

That being said, I miss all y'all, and I'll post when I can. If I disappear again, assume that I've gone off to sea to track rare and dangerous fish all over the globe. It's how I want to be remembered.

Damn, I guess I'm just a lousy Christian. For instance, I had no idea that Cirtur was Jesus.
