Seriously. They better not have canceled it. That'd be ruining a good thing.

Tim and Eric have the capacity to be boundlessly hilarious and yet they do something funny once for every twenty times they throw in some weird shit about cat poop (no pun intended) and I kinda like that about them. I almost get the impression they do really weird things to turn certain people off from their stuff, but then I realize they are just crazy, and that's cool, too.

I think I've mentioned it before, but I like Tom Goes to the Mayor. But Awesome Show, Great Job just isn't funny in my opinion.

I'm really into alternative humor and nonsense like T&E is what I crave. I'm also impressed by their ability to hone in on the awkward but they are by no means very good at catering towards a more mainstream audience- which I don't think they should, as I like my T&E the way it is.

Not edit but revision after it showed me your new post

I loved Tom Goes to the Mayor as well, particularly the Bass Fest episode.

All of the shows listed here pale in comparison to the mighty Venture Brothers

I've always liked the Venture Brothers, but I also never really understood it. I always feel like I am missing something about it.

A lot of the humour is very adult.* Also, just remember that Dr Venture does a lot of amphetamines.

Venture Bro's is a show that intentionally leaves things out. I mean the show starts off with NO explanation of the characters, you're just expected to grab what you see and run with it. Just know that Brock Samson is god and slayer of men.... slayer of henchmen...

But to break it down...
• Doctor Venture is a washed up self-proclaimed super scientist that rides the coattails of his father, who was actually WAS a super scientist. He knows a few things, but is largely incompetent. Also, a pill-popper.
• The Monarch is arch'ing (arch enemy of) Dr. Venture for reasons unknown (they never explain why).
• Baron Underbheit (sp?) hates Dr. Venture for reasons unknown, other than it was a lab accident back in college when they were lab partners.
• The Venture kids are expendable. "If you have a clumsy child, you make them wear a helmet. if you have death-prone children, you keep a few clones of them in your lab."
• Dr. Orpheus rents part of the Venture Compound from Dr. Venture. He is a necromancer, not to be confused with Necrophile.
• Phantom Limb has invisible extremeties and looks like a torso wearing purple spandex. His head is visible. Extremeties are invisible for reasons unknown, other than it was "a science experiment gone bad that made me evil" - PL
• Dr. Girlfriend is voiced by a male actor and is awkward to listen to. Brock maintains that she underwent a sex change, but the monarch is convinced otherwise. She used to number two for Phantom as Queen Etheria, but now does/does not date the Monarch depending on where you are in teh series.
•The Guild of Calamitous Intent is the leader of organized super villainy. They have rules, treaties, and very close ties with the police. Spoiler: Their "Sovereign", David Bowie, is mentioned/seen throughout the series, but is not revealed as such until the final episode. Brock Respects them, but fights them when necessary.
Molotov Cocktease is a mercenary who has a history with Brock
• #21 and #24 are henchmen for the Monarch, and are introduced as actual characters about halfway through the first season. They are persistent characters through the rest of the series.

That about sums up the frequent characters. There are many others who are only in a few episodes, and the list is too long to put here. Just take each episode as what you see, and you might enjoy it.

Yeah, I think part of the humour is walking into a series that you know nothing about and apparently there is this whole history that you know nothing of. It's partly a parody of shows like Jonny Quest where a whole episode would be based on part of a character concept that we have only just heard about.
