NaNoWriMo
Anyone from here doing it this year? I'm seriously considering it, but I'll be in class for most of it, teaching, so I don't know how much I'll do.
Yeah, you know you want to talk about creativity. http://www.notebookinhand.com The interpretation of 'creativity' is up to you!

Re: NaNoWriMo
I'm probably going to do the same thing I did last year, which was aim for verbiage but not coherent story. I write decently when it comes to flash fiction, but projects longer than about 150-200 words are out of my league. I know last year the word I used most often in the writing was 'tortilla', so I'm kind of interested in what it will be this year. Probably Slenderman, if my current obsession is any indicator of what happens next month.

What the fuck, I'll do it. I will be spending a lot of time in class, pretending to learn, but whatever. If anything that gives me more time to work.

Not again! Not for me!
I can think 50,000 words in one month, but I can't write them.
...I'm going to go for it. If only I had a way of transferring my thoughts to text!

Re: NaNoWriMo
I've always wanted to do NaNoWriMo, but November is always such a busy month for me.
I'm student teaching for the first half of the month, and I'm back in classes preparing for exams for the second half. Maybe when I'm finally done school, I'll do it. I wish they had chosen a different month, though.

This actually reminded me to consider participating in Noshavember.

Re: NaNoWriMo
Seriously? That's what you guys call it? 'Movember' is a much better name for it, the sacrifice being we only worry about the size and shape of our moustaches, rather than simply being too lazy to shave for a month. I might take part in this this year.Lethal Interjection wrote:Noshavember.

Re: NaNoWriMo
Here is the official website. I'm fairly certain anyone can participate, officially or unofficially. Livejournal, too, I know has a few communities that do it too, some that will give you constructive criticisms as you go, others that will just give support. I know I'm not American either, but my older brother does it every year, along with one of RL friends. Basically all you have to do is write 50 000 words from scratch between Nov. 1 and Nov. 30th.Kimra wrote:Please be the linking?*
