I quite liked Clue. The fact that it starred Tim Curry may be a major factor in this.Kimra wrote: Clue

Re: Twilight
I've seen lots of things that star Tim Curry that I have not liked.
Example: Muppets Treasure Island*
*In actual fact this movie was excellent (except for the boy singing).

That asterisk just saved your life, miss.
Police said they spent some time working out if they could charge the man with being armed with a weapon, as technically he was armed with part of a fish.

Re: Twilight
Yeah its kind of obvious if you read the books. Pathetic the shit he puts he through "because he loves her."
I also had something else excellent to write here, but it completely escapes my mind. This makes me sad, because as I said, it was excellent.
A male friend of mine thinks that Bella is an excellent role model for girls. He used Megan Fox in Transformers 2 as a comparison. I think if I had a child I would prefer them to be self assured sexy and in control rather than whiny pathetic panty and obsessive.*
*maybe it wasn't excellent, but I'd like to see you prove it.

Re: Twilight
Explain. I enjoy Grosse Point Blank. It was a good movie with a fantastic soundtrack. I'm interested as to why this is a semi sequel. Same tone?Edminster wrote:If you enjoyed Grosse Pointe Blank you may enjoy it's (semi)sequel called War, Inc.
I know I thought it was funny.
I'm interested in War, Inc. anyways and haven't gotten around to seeing it, but your comment intrigues me and makes me think I should move it further up my queue.

I'm going to have to quote Wikipedia on this one.Lethal Interjection wrote:Explain. I enjoy Grosse Point Blank. It was a good movie with a fantastic soundtrack. I saw War, Inc. before I saw Grosse Pointe Blank, and I prefer it. I will admit that it's not really the same movie as GPB though.wikipedia wrote:War, Inc. is thought to be a spiritual successor or informal sequel to the 1997 film Grosse Pointe Blank. Both films are black comedies with similar styles and themes, and both films star John Cusack as an assassin and Joan Cusack as his assistant, with Dan Aykroyd in a supporting role. In an interview, Joan Cusack said, "I think, in a way, [War, Inc.] was a Grosse Point Blank 2."
edit:
And because I only saw this yesterday

I don't really think more evidence is needed for the Mary Sue = Bella Swan argument.

I have not read these books at all and I have not seen these movies at all besides the brilliant Buffy vs Edward mashup.
Regardless, I consider myself a strong supporter of Team Jacob.
