I have a webcomic...

For original creative work. For the love of Zach, read Rule 30.

I have a webcomic...

Post by Lehooo »

Hey there! New user on these forums, long time reader of SMBC. I recently (and finally) got around to starting my own webcomic which can be seen here: http://comics.lehoism.net. The comic is called LEHOism Comics and I intend to fill it with comics from several different ongoing series. So far it only contains nine comics, all from the series Squares and Bubbles. It is updated Monday, Wednesday and Friday so number ten will arrive tomorrow! I also have another blog at http://tumblr.lehoism.net containing both the comics and other drawings, short videos, photos of clay figures and more.

Please check it out if you feel like it, and please post any comments either here or at the blogs themselves. I hope you like my work, but be honest!

Piss off.

Don't come here to promote your shit unless you are actually going to be a part of the community.

I'm sorry, but I thought it was fine. Some other guy posted about his webcomic just before me. I do intend to be part of the community though, I just thought this was a good way to introduce myself. But I'll delete it if you think it was out of line.

A lot of people join just to promote their webcomic and blog. They'll make a post here, but never come back except to answer questions in the one thread. You haven't really done anything wrong, but because of those who've come before you, it looks bad when someone comes in and their very first post is, "Hey, come check out my website." Most of the old posts for those guys aren't even in this section anymore since they've been labelled as spam bots and moved to the New Outlandia subforum.

Actually I vote we put a rule in that new posters have to post so much before they're allowed to promote anything like a webcomic. Just to discourage all those people who sign up for that sole purpose.

I understand now, I'm sorry I didn't think it through more before posting. I will be a part of the community though, and I'll try to think more before posting in the future! That rule seems very sensible, you have my vote!

I'm the nearest to you geographically, so you better hope I like your comic.

Otherwise we'll see who gets angry letters from me.

He he, I'll have to watch it then. I'd better not make any comics mocking 17 year old licensed troll pornographers I guess...

I like your stuff, especially the art. A bit R. Crumb-esque.

Thanks! That's really flattering, I love Crumb! I got his Illustrated version of The Book of Genesis last Christmas, excellent stuff!
