Re: post apocalyptic sydney
I think the best thing was that all the lights where blue, because the red light was negated by the red dust. The sun was an errie blue glow in the sky, blue reflected off shinny surfaces. All up it was cool. Except for me feeling sick from breathing in too much dust. I think the air pollution was something like 500 times higher than normal. Good times.

Your lucky. A world with an funky glow and covered in a misty funky fog. What Silent Hill would not want to be in that world.

Next time a dust storm blows up here, I'll swap environment with you for a day. You can have choking oxygen depravation and I'll stick with the norm. Deal?HARDKORE wrote:Your lucky. A world with an funky glow and covered in a misty funky fog. What Silent Hill would not want to be in that world.

I like the climate where I live, in that my clothes don't have to change to radically. I don't have to wear a duvet and fur coat in winter and just a speedo in Summer.

The vast majority of the population of the world does not seem to have this problem. For numerous reasons.Cirtur wrote:I like the climate where I live, in that my clothes don't have to change to radically. I don't have to wear a duvet and fur coat in winter and just a speedo in Summer.

That is pretty cool. You know, if you don't live there.
Also, why didn't anyone comment about this in the weather thread? I'm looking your way Kimra. The post could've looked something like this:

I'm pretty sure his talking to you again Cirtur.HARDKORE wrote:I cant believe i didnt do this earlier. Are you ok now Ms Powderpuffed Power Ranger?
Today the air is clean and dust free. Quite nice actually. Myself and all the pets are much happier with the weather now.* We all survived the weather by locking the house up and ignoring it. I wonder how the other Australian's survived? It covered a lot more than just Sydney, actually I think it went through at least three capital cities.**
Just for the apocalyptic feel I'd like to point out that it was also the equinox that day.
Fellow Australians: I'm not sure where you all live by I hope you didn't have any troubles in the dust storm.***
*they are no longer looking at me accusingly as if I was the instigator of all bad weather. By now they should know that my only power is to make it snow when the weather reaches eightyeight miles an hour.
**First note, our capital cities are rather spaced out. Second note, I live at least 500km from Sydney and it still got us pretty badly.
***Sahan I think your exempt from concern because, as far as I know, the dust didn't go anywhere near you.
p.s. Lethal, I will strive not to disappoint next time. But your word magic is more powerful than mine.

There is a grammatical mistake in that post, but I do not want to point it out for fear of retribution.

Police said they spent some time working out if they could charge the man with being armed with a weapon, as technically he was armed with part of a fish.
