BOOM. An update at the right time of day, though technically I'm behind a day.

I've received quite a few emailed chastisements over the store not yet returning. I promise we're working on it, but I want the new stuff to be of a higher quality than the last run. This is ending up taking more time than I planned. However, next year is the year in which we'll have books, shirts, prints, and pictures of my face on g-strings. Promise!

Hey nerds! A reader referred me to a way to raise money for charity by playing a game. It looks pretty nifty, though I don't personally have time to play. If you're interested, the person who referred me is on Team Cystic Fibrosis!

I wanted to give a little shout-out to a nifty new site called Is It Funny Today. It's a cool site for both readers and creators. For creators, it's nice because it drives traffic directly back to your site. For readers, it's nice because you get to quantitatively verify your hypothesis that SMBC is always hilarious.

We're nearing the end of a semester, and I want to remind all would-be school paper editors that they can have SMBC for free every day, provided they put in a URL, and agree to sign a boilerplate. If you can send me a copy to prove that it's running, I'd be happy to send the paper staff some t-shirts, and autographed tasteful nude drawings of myself. I have a strong belief that the latter will, in time, become the dominant form of international currency. So, this may be quite a bargain.

I'm loving the CRAP out of the book on Walt Disney I'm reading. According to Wikipedia, Disney's daughter wasn't terribly happy with the book, but I suppose anyone would be a bit disenchanted by an in depth survey of her parents' lives.

Series and sequences are going well enough, though they seem a bit easy. There are lots of particular techniques to learn and master, but I feel like I could pass a test on everything we've learned by having knowledge of limits and integrals, and then just applying a not-terribly-complex flow chart. We shall see...

Woah, it's four panels! That's like 4 really crappy updates all at once.

SMBC is officially searchable! A lot of people have been asking (for years) to have a search feature to find their favorite strips, and today they've got it!

I'm spending today slogging through infinite series, and ways to determine whether one is convergent or divergent. I'm assured it's quite useful.

More excitingly, I've decided to take next semester off to focus on the site, other creative works, and actually learning science, as opposed to learning to take tests. I've learned a lot in the last year, but it's been frustrating to have to repeatedly cut corners in favor of passing exams or completing homework. These things are probably fine for most students, especially younger ones, but I've found I learn better and faster when I work on my own time. Now that I have a bit of a foundation, this should be fairly easy.

Oh, and for those who are unaware, my other comic, Captain Excelsior (I write, Chris Jones draws), is hitting some climactic moments!
